Our goal is to contribute to equine welfare by improving the health and employability of horses. Everything we do as a team revolves around the horse, the happy athlete.
As a dynamic team, we combine knowledge and practical experience in the field of equine health with the latest insights. We provide relevant support to owners, which improves the welfare of the horses.
Communication is key, which starts with listening carefully to the owner, looking at the horse and communicating about the findings, working method and progress.

The team of Paardenkliniek Wolvega has more than 50 colleagues who carry out their work with great dedication and ambition. We think it is important that our colleague is proactive, works carefully, is flexible and can switch quickly. In addition, clear and transparent communication is no problem, you can work both independently and in a team and you know how the lines in the organization work and you act accordingly.

Intern- and externships
Every year we offer 4 internship positions for recently graduated veterinarians who want to gain experience in equine medicine. The internship lasts 12 months and during the training the different departments rotate to learn as much as possible from our qualified specialists. View here what we have to offer at our location.

MBO- or HBO student
We also offer a learning place for students who follow an MBO or HBO course. We are a recognized training company (SBB) for the following courses:
- Vet assistant paraveterinary
- Equestrian management
- Farrier
- Biological medical analyst (MBO clinical chemical or HBO microbiological)

Happy horses, happy people
Onze bejaarde pony Jacob is geholpen aan eorth. We zijn vooraf goed geïnformeerd over de behandeling en kansen op herstel, ook gewezen op de risico's van de ingreep. Onze pony is als een prins behandeld en uitstekend verzorgd. De dierenarts hield ons goed op de hoogte. Gelukkig verloopt het herstel van Jacob voorspoedig. Dikke prima voor deze kliniek
Zeer fijne kliniek. Gaan rustig en deskundig om met mijn paarden. En nemen de tijd de vragen te beantwoorden.
Er word goed naar je uitleg geluisterd, keelscopie en balspoeling op schijf thuisgestuurd gekregen. Uit de scopie op de dag zelf bleek al: pony retour met gierende banden! Aantal dagen later keurig gebeld met labuitslagen, hele goede uitleg van Berit + advies ab bacteriele infectie vd verkopende partij. Ik kocht een gekeurde pony, maar een kliniek is mi toch iets anders dan een DAP. (De goede DAP's niet te na gesproken) 😉.
