Imaging is an important factor in establishing a correct diagnosis in addition to the physical examination. At Paardenkliniek Wolvega we have the most modern techniques to visualize internal abnormalities, soft tissue or bone problems in your horse.
In addition to the facilities, we also have a certified ISELP veterinarian, Don van de Winkel. He is an expert in the field of medical imaging and orthopedic examination.
Most modern techniques
In some cases, a clinical and/or radiological examination is insufficient to establish the correct diagnosis. At Paardenkliniek Wolvega we are therefore in possession of the most modern techniques to be able to perform additional examination. See below all the imaging methods available at the clinic:

Standing MRI
At Paardenkliniek Wolvega, it is possible to perform a standing MRI. This allows us to safely and accurately examine lameness and leg issues without the need for general anesthesia.
Why MRI?
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is an advanced imaging technique that provides detailed cross-sections of soft tissues, joints, tendons, and bones. Unlike X-rays or ultrasound, MRI can detect abnormalities at an early stage that would otherwise remain invisible. This makes MRI a valuable tool for establishing an accurate diagnosis and determining a targeted treatment plan.

Happy horses, happy people
Onze bejaarde pony Jacob is geholpen aan eorth. We zijn vooraf goed geïnformeerd over de behandeling en kansen op herstel, ook gewezen op de risico's van de ingreep. Onze pony is als een prins behandeld en uitstekend verzorgd. De dierenarts hield ons goed op de hoogte. Gelukkig verloopt het herstel van Jacob voorspoedig. Dikke prima voor deze kliniek
Zeer fijne kliniek. Gaan rustig en deskundig om met mijn paarden. En nemen de tijd de vragen te beantwoorden.
Er word goed naar je uitleg geluisterd, keelscopie en balspoeling op schijf thuisgestuurd gekregen. Uit de scopie op de dag zelf bleek al: pony retour met gierende banden! Aantal dagen later keurig gebeld met labuitslagen, hele goede uitleg van Berit + advies ab bacteriele infectie vd verkopende partij. Ik kocht een gekeurde pony, maar een kliniek is mi toch iets anders dan een DAP. (De goede DAP's niet te na gesproken) 😉.
